FUNET railway pictures archive - Australia

Australia is a huge country and it consists of several federal states. Much of the railways are state based. There are over 40 000 kilometres of rail networks and three major rail gauges. Much of the rolling material is "US style", either bought from USA or just looks similar. Private companies now operate most of the rail networks.
